SYNTHA 6 NUTRITION FACTS (per 38g scoop)

Your first thought might be “only 24g protein per 38g scoop”. And while it might seem low, it does has an amazing BCAA profile of 11g, plus other benefits.

SYNTHA 6 Calories

It contains only 150 calories per scoop. This is low considering their scoop size is higher than most whey protein powders.

While 150 calories aren’t the lowest I’ve seen, it’s still low enough for those of you aiming to maintain or lose body fat.

Unique Protein Blend

SYNTHA 6 protein powder features a blend of whey concentrate, whey isolate, hydrolyzed whey, casein protein, milk protein, and egg white powder. This combination is what makes it so unique.

Let’s break each type of protein down and see how they can benefit you.

What is Whey Protein Concentrate?

It’s the least processed form of whey and usually contains between 70%-80% protein by weight.

It contains relatively low amounts of fat and carbs, but more than whey protein isolate.

Whey Protein Concentrate Benefits

Building Muscle

Concentrate contains growth factors that make it ideal for building muscle.

Post-workout Recovery

It’s quick-digesting, so is ideal for post-workout recovery.

What is Whey Protein Isolate?

Isolate goes through more processing steps than concentrate to produce a higher percentage of protein content by weight, at 90% or more.
To reach 90%, whey isolate sacrifices more fat and carbs than concentrate. It’s considered more suitable for those of you aiming to build lean muscle without adding body fat for this reason.

Whey Protein Isolate Benefits

Lean Muscle Building

At 90% or more protein content by weight and very low amounts of fat, whey isolate is ideal for building leaning muscle.

Post Workout Recovery

It’s quick-digesting, so is ideal for post-workout recovery.

Low Lactose Content

Whey Isolate contains very little lactose, so it’s the best type of whey protein for those of you who are lactose intolerant.

What is Hydrolyzed Whey Protein?

Hydrolyzed whey a bit more niche than whey concentrate and whey isolate, but in some ways, it’s superior for specific sports and exercises.

Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Benefits

It’s even faster-digesting than isolate and concentrate.

There are arguments as to whether hydrolyzed whey is just another way to market whey protein but I wouldn’t necessarily agree.

Hydrolyzed whey is beneficial after intensive workouts because it absorbs into your system quicker than the other types of whey.

What is Micellar Casein?

Micellar casein is different to whey protein and it’s important not to confuse the two. Whey protein is fast-digesting protein, casein protein is slow-digesting.

Casein is more beneficial for consumption before sleeping but it can be beneficial after working out too

Micellar Casein Benefits

Post-Workout Muscle Recovery

Are you on a calorie deficit? Casein can be especially beneficial for you after working out because it digests slower than other types of proteins.

Should you supplement casein on its own after working out? No. You need quick-release protein too.

Supplementing whey and casein together is a fantastic idea for muscle recovery. You need slow-release protein for muscle recovery throughout the day and you need quick-release for post-workout recovery.

SYNTHA 6 is the only supplement I know of that combines hydrolyzed isolate, concentrate, and casein. You can purchase whey and casein separately as I do, or you can cost-save by purchasing SYNTHA 6.

Muscle Growth

Some studies have shown that subjects who consumed casein protein experienced more muscle growth than subjects who consumed whey protein.

Protein synthesis

Casein elevates muscle protein synthesis duration for longer periods of time. This is great for muscle repair and growth.

Milk protein is very similar to casein protein. It’s slow-absorbing and more suitable for consumption before sleeping.

I wouldn’t recommend supplementing pure milk protein on its own after working out. You should combine it with whey protein (like SYNTHA 6 does).

Egg white powder contains a decent amount of potassium. Potassium is an important mineral and electrolyte associated with heart and bone health. It’s also beneficial for organ and cell functionality.

As you can see, BSN really is providing you with a diverse range of protein sources.

At 11g, it has an amazing amino acid profile. Are you an athlete? SYNTHA 6 would benefit you too.

Let’s talk a little bit about aminos and the important role they play.

Amino Acid Benefits

Fasted Training

Do you like to train in a fasted state? Aminos are extremely important if you do.

When you train in a fasted state you run the risk of being amino acid deficient because you haven’t eaten for a long time.

Supplementing SYNTHA 6 enables you to get the aminos you need to prevent muscle breakdown after fasted training, or long and intense workouts.

Decrease Muscle Soreness and Enable Long Workouts

Do you train in a non-fasted state and eat plenty of meat? You probably don’t need BCAAs.

Do you train in very intense sports like MMA, boxing, and cycling? You need to give your muscles as much amino support as possible to enable you to train the way you need to.
I trained MMA for a couple of years and boxing for longer.

Let me tell you, BCAAs are a great supplement and made a big difference to my performances during 2-hour workouts.

Not only did aminos enable me to do intense workouts several times a week by preventing muscle soreness, but they also helped me to lose weight on a calorie deficient diet and still perform at a high level.

I have to say, BSN SYNTHA 6 is probably the best protein shake I’ve ever tasted.

I’ve tried the SYNTHA 6 peanut butter cookie flavor as well as the SYNTHA 6 chocolate milkshake flavor. They both tasted amazing and mixed easily.

It’s a great all-round whey protein supplement because of its unique blend.

It’s very important to consume quick-absorbing and slow-absorbing proteins to optimize muscle repair and growth. SYNTHA 6 is one of the few whey protein powders that boasts such a diverse range of proteins.

You could build or maintain lean muscle and lose or maintain fat simultaneously, or you could supplement SYNTHA 6 for building muscle mass on a bulking cycle.
