The Law of Attraction (Elite Body Lifestyle Guide 1)

You want to achieve elite motivation, right?

The law of attraction is one of the universal laws of our universe and a powerful mental tool you can use.

Do you know that most people fail to achieve the body they want not because they don’t know how to diet or how to workout, but because they struggle to maintain high levels of motivation on a consistent basis?

Today you’re going to learn how to succeed where most people fail.

The first thing I want to say is that you’re probably a motivated person already. Strange thing for me to say, right?

The truth is that most people are motivated to do certain things. It’s easy to be motivated to do something you enjoy but this article is going to help you become motivated to do things that you don’t necessarily enjoy.

law of attraction

Let’s be honest with each other, shall we? After a long day at work, your first thought probably isn’t “let’s go to the gym and run on a treadmill for 45 minutes”. Your first thought is probably more along the lines of “let’s go home and relax for a couple of hours”.

Does this mean you are weak? Does this mean you lack motivation? Of course not! It means that you’re like everyone else! Even after 15 years of going to the gym, my subconscious still tries to lead me down the easy route.

Motivation can be defined in many ways. Personally, I think motivation is about conquering your subconscious and doing things that aren’t always easy. Health and fitness fall into this category.

You might be asking yourself, “why should I do something that’s difficult and unenjoyable?”. The answer is empowerment.

I’m not talking about the false empowerment people “feel” from social echo chambers and virtue signaling, I’m talking about the empowerment you get from personal achievement.

law of attraction

Are you someone who’s suffered from a panic attack before? Let me ask you, how did you feel when you first got through a presentation at university or work without suffering an attack?

Are you someone who feared going to the gym because you thought you’d be judged and ridiculed? Let me ask you, how did you feel after you forced yourself to go to the gym and got through a workout?

Are you someone who was bullied at school? Let me ask you, how did you feel when you finally stood up to your bully?

I’m sure the answer to each of those questions is that you felt empowered.

Become Stronger and More Resilient

It doesn’t matter if you stuttered and stumbled through your presentation, the fact is that you got through it and you didn’t have a panic attack. That is a personal achievement.

It doesn’t matter if you felt uncomfortable at the gym, the fact is that you got through it and achieved a small victory.

It doesn’t matter how your bully reacted, the fact is that you stood up for yourself and showed your mental strength.

Each time you achieve something difficult or uncomfortable, you become a stronger and more resilient person.

You want to become stronger and more resilient, yes?

Let’s delve a little deeper and discuss how we can learn to live by a code of motivation.

The law of attraction is a lifestyle mindset. What I mean by that is that it’s not a temporary burst of motivation or a quick-fix. It requires you to change your negative patterns to positive through positive reinforcement and visualization. You can see Wikipedia’s definition here.

What do you want to attract in your life? This might seem like a simple concept but it’s incredibly powerful.

Why do you think people suffer from anxiety attacks? The simple answer is negative reinforcement. I’ll elaborate though.

Negative Reinforcement

law of attraction

You’re told that you have to do a presentation at work next week. A sinking feeling enters your stomach straight away and horrible visuals flood your mind.

You spend the next week constantly imagining all the people that will be looking at you and judging you through your presentation. Over and over again you imagine stumbling over words and stuttering.

Even though you’re not consciously choosing to do so, you’re reinforcing negativity. Your thoughts and feelings are shrouded in negativity.

If all you can think about is a negative experience, what do you think is going to happen on presentation day?

Inevitably, you’re going to be incredibly nervous about your presentation and could experience an anxiety attack. Your very best hope is to stumble nervously through the presentation.

Going through negative experiences like this can have lasting negative effects on your confidence and motivation.

Let’s turn the tables, how powerful do you think positive reinforcement can be?

Positive Reinforcement

law of attraction

Now I want you to imagine the reverse scenario. You’ve been told you have to do a presentation at work next week and your first thought is “great, I’m really looking forward to it”.

You spend the next week planning and rehearsing your presentation. After a few days, you’re supremely confident that you know your subject matter, and you’re looking forward to educating your audience.

Every time your subconscious tries to paint a negative picture in your mind you shut it down straight away or you turn it into a positive picture.

Your thoughts and feelings become shrouded in positivity.

What do you think is going to happen on presentation day? You’re going to use your positive energy and pass your presentation with flying colours.

Going through positive experiences like this will have lasting positive effects on your confidence and motivation.

How Will Positive Reinforcement Impact Your Future?

This is incredibly important because negative reinforcement and positive reinforcement have a massive impact on your entire life.

If you’ve ever been the person from the first scenario, you know how bad the chain reaction can be. It’s the domino effect as your life can go tumbling down.

Every time you speak in front of people you’re always going to fear another panic attack. Not only does this affect your career but it also affects your social life and usually leads to depression.

If you’re the person from the second scenario, you know how great the chain reaction can be. You smashed the presentation and you’re now much more confident because of it. Your career prospects look much better and your positive energy extends to your social life.

You might be new to the law of the attraction and you might not be 100% convinced it’ll work. Let me tell you, the law of attraction is a journey and it takes time to attract all the positive things you want in your life.

I used to really struggled with anxiety during presentations and it affected my entire life in a bad way.

So when I first knew about the law of attraction I set my sites on being the person from the second scenario.

When I had to speak in front of people do you think I smashed it the first time? Of course not! But was I less nervous than I had been during previous presentations? Absolutely.

It was a journey for me though and it took a few attempts before I genuinely felt comfortable talking in front of people.

After each presentation I did, I improved and felt more comfortable. I took each small victory until I won the war in the end and overcame my anxiety issues. Eventually, my subconscious mind felt natural and at ease in this environment.

The law of attraction is real and it works, but you will need to persevere.

My life changed when I started reading a book called ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’. If you want to change your lifestyle for the better, you need to purchase this book. It’s easy to read and is without a doubt the best law of attraction book I’ve read.

law of attraction

The Magic of Thinking Big encompasses positive reinforcement and other aspects of the law of attraction.

Many “self-help” books are gimmicky and while they’re not all entirely useless, they often suggest tricks or techniques that don’t hold up long-term. That’s not what the Magic of Thinking Big does. It teaches you how to achieve success and manifest your dream into reality.

It’s a lot easier to form negative thought patterns than it is to form positive thought patterns. One of the key things The Magic of Thinking Big does is take you through positive thought pattern techniques.

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

Another popular book is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. In her book, Rhonda Byrne talks about using positive reinforcement and visualization for various aspects of your life. Financial abundance, health, love and relationships, and happiness.

Definitely worth a read!

law of attraction

It’s also easier for you to be negative towards other people and although it’s harder to stay positive in negative situations, you’ll find over time that you’ll forge stronger relationships with people and “create your own luck” when new opportunities arrive.

After reading the Magic of Thinking Big you’ll completely change your approach to life. You won’t let negative feelings hold you back and you’ll soon find that you’re “luckier” than you were before and achieve success (because you create your own luck).

Negative people think successful people are lucky people. They’re mostly wrong. Successful people are overwhelmingly hard working and positive.

Don’t wait around and hope to win the lottery, create your own luck in life.

It was actually after reading The Magic of Thinking Big that I created this website. It had been on my mind for a long time but I’d never had the confidence to quit my 9-5 job and take a risk on something that I was actually passionate about.

I can count on one hand the number of books that genuinely changed my life for the better, The Magic of Thinking Big is one of them. You can see Goodreads book review here.

You can purchase the Magic of Thinking Big HERE (US).

If you’ve got to this part of the article and you’re still doubting whether it’ll work or not, you need to reset and start again.

Because as soon as you commit to the law of attraction the first thing you should be thinking is “it WILL work”. There shouldn’t be any doubt in your mind. If you believe something will work, you will find a way to make it work.

Having said that, it can take time to get used to thinking in this way, and you’ll have to persevere.

Dismiss or Change Negative Thoughts

Let’s start with a basic exercise. For the rest of today, whenever a negative thought enters your mind, change it into positive thought or dismiss it.

It might be something as simple as getting annoyed by a work colleague. When this happens, try to think of any redeeming qualities the person might have.

Does this person talk too much and you find it annoying? Instead of getting annoyed, change your perspective and tell yourself that this person only talks too much because they want to build a friendship with you.

It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, what matters is that you want to become a positive person and not let negativity drag you down.

Do this every day and you’ll wake up one day and discover that you don’t need to consciously try to think positively about people. You’ll naturally always want to see the best in people. I’d say that’s a pretty good sign the law of attraction is working.

Simply put, it’s a matter of time and consistency.

You’ll get to a certain stage a few months down the line where you realize that you don’t need to consciously force yourself to be positive, you are positive in your subconscious mind.

You won’t need to go through mental techniques before interviews or presentations, as you will naturally believe in yourself and know 100% you’re going to boss it.

No longer will you need other people to build up your confidence, you will have successfully built it up on your own.

Don’t take your new mindset for granted and think it will be easy though.

There will be times when you fail, and you’ll have to remind yourself that you will achieve what you want to achieve. It can take many months to fully adapt to new thought patterns, but you will achieve it.

It’s exactly the same as using it for other aspects of your life. You need to spend time visualizing your goals and you need to use positive reinforcement over time to turn your goals into reality.

For example, you might want to achieve a 100kg bench press but you’ve been stuck on 80kg for a long time. How can you achieve 100kg?

law of attraction

You can start through visualization. Imagine yourself achieving 100kg every day, make it an important goal. If your motivation is strong enough you’ll take action to achieve your goal.

Are you sleeping enough? Do you eat enough protein in your diet? Do you consume enough energy before workouts? Are you buying the best supplements? Is your technique correct?

You’ve been visualizing yourself achieving your goal and it’s now very important to you, so you’re going to make sure you can answer each question with a yes.

Positive Reinforcement

Every time you increase weight and reps at the gym you’ll use positive reinforcement to feel great about how your training is going.

One of the main reasons people quit the gym is because they want to see big results straight away and they lose confidence when they don’t.

You have to take each rep or weight increase as a small win, even if it’s only 1 rep or 1kg. You’ll keep winning small until you win big in the end.

Source: I was stuck at 80kg-90kg bench press for two years. After applying the law of attraction, I increased my bench press to 120kg within 4 months.

Visualize and Reinforce Your Goals

The law of attraction can be utilized for all types of health and fitness goals.

Visualize your goals and reinforce them on a daily basis! Did you progress in your last workout? Excellent! Enjoy the mental buzz and use it to motivate yourself for your next workout.

I’ll finish this segment with some of my favourite quotes.

Conor McGregor is a great example of someone succeeding via positive reinforcement and visualization.

For those of who don’t know, Conor McGregor is a mixed martial arts fighter. In 4 short years, he climbed from social welfare in Ireland to a two-weight world champion in the UFC and the wealthiest MMA fighter of all time.

Conor McGregor

I first heard about the law of attraction through Conor McGregor. At the time Conor had only fought once in the UFC but during every interview, he would talk about becoming a two-weight UFC champion.

He was mocked and ridiculed by fellow UFC fighters and fans for being arrogant and delusional. It didn’t matter to Conor though, month after month he talked about visualizing himself winning the belts. “Nothing” would stop him from achieving his goals.

Suffice to say, Conor achieved his lofty goals. He knocked out the 10-year unbeaten 145lb champion in 13 seconds! The following year he knocked out the 155lb champion.

Here are some of my favourite quotes from Conor:

law of attraction

Quote 1:

This is the law of attraction. In this struggle, when things are going good and you visualize good things happening, that’s easy. What’s not easy is to do is when things are going bad and you’re visualizing the good stuff. And that’s what I was able to do. Visualizing good things in times of struggle, when you can do that, that really makes the law of attraction work.

Quote 2:

You need to appreciate your surroundings and be grateful for it, and that’s when good things happen. To have that bitterness and negativity, that’s when things go bad. I think the fact that I appreciate everything and that I’m grateful for the things around me, that’s why it’s going so good for me.”

Quote 3:

If you can see it here, and have the courage enough to speak it, it will happen. If you put out what you truly believe in, it will create the law of attraction and it becomes reality.”

Quote 4:

Even though I was having trouble at home, even though I had no job, I was still able to feel like it was. Basically, using my imagination, like a kid, using my imagination. I was driving my girlfriend’s car, shaking down the road. And I swear to God, I was sitting in traffic and visualized — holding the steering wheel, visualizing — driving a brand-new car, visualizing good things.”

Quote 5:

I done everything I said I was gonna do. I was laughed at when I was gonna win my second world title. ‘That’s not going to happen.’ An Irishman winning a UFC world title – I was laughed at when I said that. And I done. It’s only January 2017 and I’m already the face of the UFC. The face of boxing. The face of the WWE. And the face of Hollywood!

Quote 6:

I’m not going to get somewhere and say, ‘OK, I’m done.’ Success is never final; I’ll just keep on going. The same way as failure never being fatal. Just keep going. I’m going to the stars and then past them

So far, we’ve covered some important motivational points. Let’s do a quick recap.

• Remember, you’re already a motivated person! You just need to channel your motivation in different ways. It won’t be easy but it will be productive;
• Motivation is a powerful tool. Use it to empower yourself;
• Become stronger and more resilient. Do this by going outside your comfort zone and achieving small victories;
• Visualize and reinforce your goals;
• Create your own luck. Stay positive and treat people better. You’ll soon find that more doors open for you and you have more “luck” in life;
• Dismiss or change negative thoughts;
• Persevere. Changing your mindset won’t be easy and it will take time.

I’ve only scratched the surface in this article. You’ll need to purchase the Magic of Thinking Big to delve deeper into the mindset.

The last thing I want to discuss with you today is ‘call to action’.

Call to action is a term often used in sales. It’s considered a “closing” technique salespeople use after they’ve introduced a product and explained its benefits.

When you’re trying to close a customer sale you want to hit them with a few quick and hard-hitting lines about why they NEED to act and purchase the product NOW.

While not entirely related, I borrow the term and relate it to something Gary Vaynerchuck talks about in some of his videos.

For those of you who don’t know who Gary is, he’s one of the best, if not the best motivational speaker I’ve come across.

Gary emigrated to America with his family at a very young age and worked his way from absolutely nothing to a multi-millionaire. He’s a no-bullshit type guy and one of the most self-motivated and hard-working people you will ever come across.

In one of Gary’s videos, he talks about planning vs action.

In a nutshell, he explains that many people are hard-working, but they don’t always channel it in productive ways.

It really resonated with me because I was guilty of doing what he was talking about.

For example, you might have an excellent idea and it could potentially make you very successful and wealthy. But if you spend hours and hours mapping out your perfect idea without actually executing it, it will never hit the ground running.

In other words, if you spend the majority of your time planning instead of taking action, you’ll get limited results.

Do You Spend Too Much Time Planning Instead of Taking Action?

Do you love to plan? If you have an idea or a goal, do you spend hours planning and setting up foundations?

I want you to be honest with yourself. If you look back on your achievements, how many hours did you lose planning instead of executing? Could you have achieved more if you’d spent more time taking action?

By executing I obviously don’t mean medieval style punishment, I mean just DOING your work instead of planning how to do it.

If I’m honest with myself I have to admit, I’ve wasted countless hours planning things that didn’t really need planning.

Take for example this website. I planned and planned and planned when what I should have done was tell myself “f**k it! Don’t waste time planning 1 article per week, just sit your ass down and write 2-3 articles a week”.

Trigger Words

Are there things in your life that you want to do? But all you seem to do is plan and delay?

You can remedy this problem by using trigger words like “call to action”.

When you wake up in the morning, just say the words “call to action” (or similar words to that effect). What this does is trigger your mind into a state of productivity.

Do this throughout the day. If you feel the urge to procrastinate when you have work to do, trigger your mind into a state of productivity and solider on.

Find a trigger word that resonates with you. I don’t know why, perhaps it’s because I worked in sales for several years, but “call to action” instantly triggers me into an action mentality. If it doesn’t work for you, find a set of trigger words that do.

Now let’s apply call to action to health and fitness.

Many of you like to research and plan new regimes. Something clicks in your brain and you think “when I start this new diet I’m going to lose fat” or “when I start going to the gym I’m going to build muscle”. Those are just two examples.

The problem I’ve found with many people though is that they tend to plan and delay starting their new regime.

For example: “I’m really excited about starting my new diet to lose weight. But what I want to do first is cut down my eating a little bit, stop drinking alcohol and then I’ll hit the ground running next week”.

Do Today What Other Won’t, So You Can Achieve What Others Can’t

Not only does this waste a week of being productive but it also creates an unproductive mentality trend.

There’s a great saying from Mark Divine (The Way of the Seal): “do today what others won’t, so you can achieve tomorrow what others can’t”.

law of attraction

This is similar to Gary Vaynerchuck’s message. It means TAKE ACTION. Don’t spend hours, days or weeks preparing for something, just DO IT.

Let’s go back to my example. The person in my scenario should have said “f**k it! I don’t feel good about myself, I need to do something about it NOW!”.

Not only would it be better for the person’s immediate future in terms of feeling healthier and losing fat, but it would have set a much better mentality trend.

Do you want to be in a position of genuine strength in your future?

Do you want to be a person of action or inaction?

It’s really important for you to create positive and powerful mentality trends if you want to be a strong person who consistently takes action.

Let’s wrap up what we’ve learned from this section.

• Planning vs action – spend less time planning and more time taking action;
• Call to action – find a set of words that trigger you into a productive mindset;
• Health and fitness – start your new regime tomorrow. Don’t prepare yourself for a week or two before you “officially” start;
• The Way of the Seal – “do today what others won’t, so you can achieve tomorrow what others can’t”;
• Be a person of action, not inaction.

This is your first step to an elite body lifestyle. Although the article was quite broad and not fully tied to health and fitness, it should serve to lay down the motivational foundations you need to start your journey.

You’re going to have to break old habits and put yourself in uncomfortable positions if you want to become elite.
